Portfolios

I have learning that children are more motivated to learn with technology. Students are captivated by a big screen. I have learned to use my smartboard in a more efficient way. I have learned to be a more collaborative teacher. I did a share in my class during a professionnal day. I still need to work on that capacity. I have become a more reflective teacher. At the end of the day, I have always asked myself questions. I just did in a more profound way. We teach who we are. You are not going to change your personnality. But I think if you are aware of it then you can look at things in a different way. I'm curious about what a blog would look like with my class. I can imagine my "gifted parents" going on and on. I'm not sure I have the time to talk to them every day and read their comments every night.

Hm, might open a whole can of worms when you introduce the ability for parents to comment. Might get some dangerous side conversations. :-)

  3. You have made a good point - a blog with parents could be a make work project and also a place for parents to vent!

  4. After today's class, I am also curious about embedding a blog into the wikispace that I am trying to create. Not sure if it is too much to tackle before the school year starts. Maybe I'll just stick to the wikispace.
